Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz tequila blanco preferably quality
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice about one lime's juice
  • 0.5 oz orange liqueur such as triple sec or Cointreau
  • 1 tsp black food dye gel or liquid form
  • Optional shimmering edible glitter silver or holographic
  • Salt for rimming salt coarse sea salt works well
  • Ice cubes ice to chill and dilute the drink as needed

Method
 

  1. Place coarse salt on a small plate and dip the rim of each glass into water or lime juice, then press into the salt to coat the rims evenly. Set aside.
  2. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes and pour in the tequila, lime juice, and orange liqueur.
  3. Add the black food dye to the shaker, then secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until the mixture turns a deep, swirling black with a slight froth on top.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses, pouring slowly to preserve the swirling effect and avoid disturbing the glitter if used.
  5. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of shimmering edible glitter into each drink for a sparkling, magical effect.

Notes
