Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed ice preferably finely crushed for smoothing
  • 1/4 cup caramel syrup store-bought or homemade
  • 1/4 cup milk whole or 2% milk for creaminess
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cream optional for extra richness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Add the crushed ice to your blender, filling it about halfway.
  2. Pour in the caramel syrup over the ice, ensuring even coverage for maximum flavor.
  3. Pour in the milk, which will help achieve a smooth, creamy texture as you blend.
  4. If desired, add a tablespoon of fresh cream for extra richness and silkiness.
  5. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed for about 30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and frosty.
  6. Open the lid carefully and check the consistency; it should be thick, velvety, and beautifully slushy.
  7. Pour the caramel slushie into chilled glasses, allowing a little swirl of caramel to be visible at the top.
  8. Optionally, drizzle a little extra caramel syrup over the top for a decorative touch.
  9. Serve immediately with a straw or a spoon, and enjoy the chilled, caramel-infused freshness.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute milk with coconut milk or almond milk. Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of caramel syrup.
