Ingredients

  • 2 cups black tea, steeped and cooled strong brew preferred
  • 2 tablespoons honey or to taste
  • 3 cups ice cubes adjust for your desired thickness

Equipment

  • Tea kettle or pot
  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Tall glass or serving cup

Method

  1. Brew the black tea using boiling water, then let it steep for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags or leaves and allow the tea to fully cool to room temperature.
  2. Pour the cooled tea into a blender, then add honey and blend briefly on low until the honey dissolves completely into the tea.
  3. Add the ice cubes to the blender, then secure the lid tightly. Blend on high speed until the mixture becomes thick, smooth, and slushy—about 30 to 60 seconds.
  4. Check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash of cooled tea and blend briefly to loosen. If you prefer it icier, add a few more ice cubes and blend again.
  5. Pour the icy mixture into tall glasses, using a spoon if needed to help scoop the thick slush out.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw or a spoon, enjoying the cold, refreshing texture and bold tea flavor.

Notes

For a sweeter slushie, add more honey. Feel free to experiment with different types of tea or flavored syrups for variety.
