Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana ripe, sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries strawberries and blueberries, frozen
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter creamy preferred
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt full-fat for richness
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional, for sweetness
  • 1/4 cup almond milk or preferred milk, adjust for thickness
  • jam as needed jam strawberry or berry jam for swirl
  • granola as needed granola for topping

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Knife

Method

  1. Place the frozen banana slices into your blender, and blend on high for about 30 seconds until they break down into a smooth, creamy texture that smells slightly sweet and banana-y.
  2. Add the frozen berries and blend again for about 20 seconds, until the mixture turns a vibrant purple and thickens nicely. If it’s too stiff, add a splash of almond milk and pulse briefly.
  3. Scoop in the peanut butter and blend for another 10 seconds, allowing it to fully incorporate and create a luscious, oozy swirl throughout the mixture.
  4. Add the Greek yogurt and honey, then blend for about 15 seconds until the mixture is smooth, thick, and slightly tangy smelling.
  5. Pour the smoothie into two bowls, then gently swirl in spoonfuls of jam on the surface, creating marbled patterns with a toothpick or skewer for a playful look.
  6. Top each bowl with a handful of crunchy granola, plus any additional fresh berries or sliced fruit you like for extra flavor and texture.
  7. Serve immediately with a spoon, enjoying the thick, creamy texture and the colorful swirl of jam and berries that make this dish as fun to look at as to eat.
